Generally, the heater will have slight smoke when the first burning, due to the oil was burning inside, after 10-20 mins, the smoke will disapear, if your heater still has heavy smoke, please check as below:
A) Check the oil system, make sure the length of the blue oil pipe(0.5-1.2ms from the tank to the pump) and the white oil pipe(2-6.8ms from the pump to the heater) is correct. And make sure there is no air bubbles in the oil pipes, no gap inside of the black oil connectors.

B) Check the oil pump install, with the buffer,do not remove it. Install it within an reasonable angle.
C) Commercial diesel supply, clear oil.
D) Oil volume, make sure the oil did not sucted from the bottom from the oil tank, the bottom oil is durty sometime, so it can not burn well.
E) IF the silver exhaust pipe inside the black air inlet pipe is loose;

F) The exhaust and air intake pipe should be straight, smooth, no bending, no deformed.
G) Exhaust and air intake pipe length within 60-100cm, 60cm is advised.
H) The installation direction must be upward.
I) The air intake for combustion must have be clean and well ventilated.

J) try to dry burner, stop to provide the oil to the heater, then burn the oil in the burner finished.
Dry burner method:
1) Unplug the white fuel pipe from the fuel pump to the heater, and stop to provide the fuel for the heater running.
2) turn on the heater in a normal working mode.
3) Turn on /off the heater at least 5-10 times, and keep running for 5 mins each time, until the rest fuel in the burner is burned completely.
4) Plug the white fuel pipe from the fuel pump to the heater again.
Tip: how to make sure the oil pipes without air bubbles?
Method one: Use the priming function on the controller to ensure an air free fuel supply to the heater burner. Run the oil pump, but disconnect the oil pipe to heater.
Method two: disconnect the oil pipe to the heater and turn the heater on by the control panel, when see the oil come out from the oil hose continually, connect the oil hose to the heater.
